I'm Chris way and I graduated from colefield school in 1987 and I now served with the president of Rome State Community College in education you get to change lives because education changes people's lives it opens up course for people and so it runs state where we have a number of first generation college students knowing the difference that the the open door to a better life that that higher education is going to play for those students many of them will say some version of I don't know why I'm here I promise my I get to shake their hand and they come across the stage and I know that they've not only completed a career certificate but also standing a little taller and I know that smile it is that they have overcome so many things in their lives raising kids taking care of elderly family members sometimes working for part-time jobs that education is really making a Way Forward I don't know how you don't get excited about that I want to let all the folks in coldfield it's coldfield school to know special folks are part of the special place and that goes for all of Northern County and it was really a blessing to me to get to be get to be a part of of that community
