Our Coalfield School Story-Week of July 28.

The 2025-2026 Coalfield School Story kicked off this week with the return of our staff to the building. We spent time reviewing test data and discussing an action plan for continuous improvement. Staff completed several hours of professional development to prepare for the upcoming school year.  Teachers worked to get their classrooms ready for the return of students.   Our cafeteria staff and custodial staff continued to address building needs to prepare for the students to return.  Thank you to Melissa Morales and Coalfield Crossroads Food Truck Park for catering dinner for our staff at Coalfield. It was delicious and very well done. I highly recommend them to other schools and organizations that may need catering services .
Also, a huge thank you to Pleasant Grove Church  for feeding our staff breakfast this week.  Thank you to Pastor Corey Jones of  Middle Creek Baptist Church for providing an inspiring message to our staff this week. Also, I want to thank all those who attended our open house this evening.  Last, but certainly not least, I want to thank my amazing staff for being amazing!
Oh yeah, I can’t end without sharing the shirt our  SRO, officer Brynden Bales, was wearing today.  (See photo)
We are so happy to have her as part of our Coalfield family.
