The Coalfield School Story continued this week with teacher and nurse appreciation week, recognizing seniors who plan to attend TCAT and RSCC, spring sports tournaments, fun activities for students, and record breaking performances . A special thanks to Oak Ridge Buddy's BBQ, Duncan Donuts, and MCEA for their donations for teacher appreciation week. Also, a big thank you to Ms. Sheila Walls, Kevin Walls, and Ms. Shelia Harvey for organizing special treats each day in recognition of our teachers and nurse.
Our 2nd grade had a beach day for students this week for a fun activity. Middle school students enjoyed some fun field trips this week one to tour Brushy Mountain and one to Top Golf where Ms. Kristan Conlon Headrick beat Coach Jones in a friendly contest…see score card in photos .

Our sports teams had a busy week of tournaments. CMS middle softball won another district championship and came up short in the regional tournament…great season ladies. CHS softball finished 2nd in the district and will advance to the regional tournament this coming week . Good luck ladies! Our CHS Baseball team won our 11th regional championship and will play sectionals at home Friday for a chance to return to the state tournament . Luke Treece set a new hits record for the state of Tennessee with a double in the regional championship game. As we head into our last full week of school for this year, please continue to pray for our students , staff, and school. This will be a busy week for us all.
