Our Coalfield School Story-Week of March 10th

Our Coalfield School Story-Week of March 10th.

The Coalfield School Story continued this week with a one-heartbeat spirit.  Our big focus this week was the historical run our Lady Jackets had  in the state tournament. All though they came up a little short of their goal, we couldn’t be more proud of their effort and grit.  Our ladies collected the schools first ever win in the basketball state tournament over Moore Co. and lost on a last second shot to Van Buren Co. in the semi-finals. Thank you Ladies and coaches for an exciting season!  I want to thank our cheerleaders, student section, and community for the amazing support shown to these young ladies.  Also, I want to give a huge shoutout to our amazing assistant principal Mrs. Shelia Harvey, central office staff Mr. Matt Murphy, director of schools Mr. Jamie Pemberton, and our amazing staff members who selflessly stayed behind and ran the school so that we could send a lot of support to Murfreesboro and support our girls.  Last, but certainly not least, I want to say thank you to our community for the financial assistance and for their flexibility with bus cancellations. I think I speak for many when I say, words can’t express how special our community and our school are to me.
Our Spring sports teams were in action as well this week.  Both our middle school and high school softball teams defeated Oneida and our high school baseball team played up and came up short to a very good Oak Ridge team.
Ms. Tiffany Deanne Thompson and Ms. Carmen Jackson Hines administered/proctored the ACT test this week to our Juniors. We were also able to do our mock TCAP test for 3-8 grade. Thank you to Mrs Susanne Hitchcock Pemberton for organizing this practice time for our students .

Please continue to pray daily for our school, staff, and students.
