The Coalfield School Story, although slowed a bit by snow, sleet, and ice, continued to have some good things happen the past few weeks. Our basketball teams have juggled their schedules these past few weeks. Both high school and middle school teams have accumulated team wins between the snow “daze”. We’ve had buzzer beating shots, a 1000 point recognition, and a state tournament team recognition mixed with these games.
Our superhero teachers have scrambled to get instruction in during the short weeks. Some have worked in a recognition for our custodial staff for their dedication to keep our building clean.
Our community has continued to step up and support our students through donations.
Our administration team has worked tirelessly using the snow “daze” to analyze student academic data, identifying strengths and weaknesses to develop a plan of action for these last few months before state testing.
Morgan county Leadership visited our school to tour and learn about our mission and vision and what students and teachers are doing to advance STEM education at Coalfield School.
Please continue to pray for our students, staff, and their families. Remember to set an alarm for 8:30 AM each weekday in an effort to be intentional about praying for our school.
