Our Coalfield School story this week will focus on the two big wins by our football teams. Our coaches and student-athletes give a lot of their time and a lot of their energy in preparation to be the best team on the field each week.
CMS beat Oliver Springs 22-0 in the semifinals of the playoffs to advance to another championship game. Congrats to our coaches, players, and cheerleaders as they will play for another gold ball next Saturday at Campbell County High School at 6:00PM.
CHS went into the Bobcat’s den, as the 4 time defending regional champions, and walked out with their fifth consecutive regional championship winning 34-25. Congratulations to our coaches, players, and cheerleaders for wrapping up another championship.
Hats off to Mr. David C Snodgrass and our small, but mighty band. They were absolutely amazing as they played their hearts out to encourage the team as they battled a very good football team in a tough environment. Thank you to Mr. David Treece for recognizing the band for their efforts with doughnuts on Friday.
Our CMS and CHS cheerleaders were fantastic as well as they worked hard keeping our fans cheering on our boys.
It was such a great week for our student-athletes, coaches, and fans.
Congratulations to all our student-athletes, coaches, band members, staff, and volunteers for a job well done.
Please continue to pray for our students, staff, and school.
